Welcome to the School Workforce Health & Wellbeing Programme

The School Workforce Health & Wellbeing Programme is committed to support Cornish staff to live happier, healthier lives and we are dedicated to provide the necessary support and opportunities to enable schools to develop their own staff wellbeing programme.

One size does not fit all so we want to work with you to develop a holistic culture of wellbeing that suits your unique staff through a flexible and responsive process of support and training which starts with your own Health and Wellbeing Champion. Together we can find what works for you; it may be token gestures which encourage a moment of happiness such as a midweek treat to minimize stress or it may be more structured techniques with a focus on individual value or physical health. We are here to help you find out what works well for you.

Breaking News - A Fond Farewell from the current SWHW Coordinator

It is with a sad heart that we have to announce our current project coordinator, Karen Keast, is leaving us to pursue a new career at Truro & Penwith College. Karen sends the following farewell:

"Over the past two and a half years, I have proudly watched the project grow and develop in areas we never thought imaginable. I have had the honour and privilege to work with so many schools and met some wonderful staff, determined to put staff wellbeing on the agenda. I wish all the schools I have worked with the very best of luck for the future. You have all contributed to a career which I have absolutely loved and been passionate and motivated to see strengthen with the support of many local teams and organisations including Healthy Cornwall, Cornwall Healthy Schools, Macmillan Cancer Support and the team at The Cove.

I officially leave at the end of October half term but will still be attending the upcoming Health & Wellbeing Champion Conference in November as my parting event from the Health Safety and Wellbeing Team and the SWHW Project. I hope to see many familiar faces at this event if not in the future :) "

From November onwards until we are able to appoint a new coordinator, please forward any queries directly to the HSW Team via healthsafetyandwellbeing@cornwall.gov.uk and one of the team will get back to you. Thank You.
